Your questions answered.

Here some helpful tips to make your transition to Windows Vista easier. Vista is really nice once you get the hang of it.

Tip 1: My Computer is just called Computer

Tip 2: To get to all of your folders quick i.e. Documents, Desktop, Favorites and Downloads,  Click the Start button, At the very top right is your name, click it.

Tip 3: Downloading from the internet is very easy but where did it go? If you’re trying to download something click on it to start the download process then click on save, the ‘Save As’ dialog box pops up, The default location is Downloads (you get there by clicking on your name in the start menu as in tip 2) If you want to change the file name now is a good time to do that but only change the name to the left of the dot. If you want to download it to a different location other then the download folder look towards the bottom and you will see a link that says Browse Folders, click that. On the left you will see Desktop, Downloads, Documents, and Computer. Choose the folder you want and click on save.

Tip 4: Your computer doesn’t require a password, by default it had you put one in during setup but you can remove that so windows boots directly to the desktop. Click on start then control panel, User Accounts and Family Safety, Change your windows password, Remove password
